The circumnavigation One Ocean Expedition 2021-2023 has set a new course for Statsraad Lehmkuhl. We are well underway with plans for a new, grand expedition in 2025-2026.
Statsraad Lehmkuhl’s very first circumnavigation, the 20-month The One Ocean Expedition, created bigger waves than we could have ever imagined.
During 20 months, from August 2021 to April 2023, the ship sailed 60,000 nautical miles and visited 37 different ports around the globe as a recognized part of the UN Decade for Ocean Research.
The One Ocean Expedition 2021 - 2023 sat a new course for Statsraad Lehmkuhl.
We are well underway with planning a new 12-month expedition in 2025 – 2026, and even more expeditions up to 2030.
The next expedition
The One Ocean Expedition 2025-2026 will visit 20 different cities in Europa, USA, Central and South America. On our way from the Atlantic to the Pacific, we will sail through the North-West Passage in the Arctic Ocean, thus following in the footsteps of the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen
UN Decade of Ocean Science (2021-2030)
With the next expedition, Statsraad Lehmkuhl will become an even stronger ambassador for the UN’s Decade of Ocean Science, and thus inspire people all over the world to commit to a cleaner ocean.
The One Ocean Expedition 2025 -2026 will have the same objective as the first expedition: To create awareness and share knowledge about the ocean´s crucial role for sustainable development in a global perspective.
Charter and ticket sale
Many of the legs will be chartered by our partners, but there will also be open legs with ordinary ticket sales for the public. We aim to put the tickets for sale during the spring of 2024.
